Registration Process
Clarify Open Questions Beforehand
Please clarify any uncertainties and ask us all questions beforehand: we do not want to disappoint you. Therefor it is important that you know what will be awaiting you when you attend a course at Alingua Concordis. This also applies for our provided accommodation: should you have any special wishes regarding your host family, please contact us before registering. Also, don't forget to read our terms.
Registering for a Course
Use the righthand side menu: choose the desired course, accommodation, form of board, starting date and duration of your stay and click on "Book now": the online registration form will open up.
The price calculator contains only regular fees! The Early Bird Discount will be deducted by us manually when we prepare your invoice - you will then get the invoice with the correct fees where the Early Bird Discount was deducted!
Payment of Deposit
We will send you a booking confirmation and a request of paying our deposit. You have to transfer a deposit of 200.-€ for course and accommodation (50.- € for course without accommodation) to our account within three working days . All banking charges must be borne by transferor. Without the deposit we cannot process your booking and your reservation will be lost. This deposit will later be deducted from the total amount. As soon as we have received your deposit we will process your registration.
Securing your Booking
After having received your deposit your place in the desired course is fixed. We will then prepare your invoice: promo codes or special offers will be considered. Your deposit will also be deducted from the total amount. We will send you our invoice.
Payment of Total Fees
The remaining amount of your total fees have to be paid 30 days before the start of your course. After having received the full payment we will send you a the confirmation of payment. We will also send you the contact data of your host family. Should you have booked a course of General German or Individual Tuition we will also send you a placement test that should be taken within two weeks.
Placement Test
Students of General German Courses or Individual Tuition will be asked to take our placement test. This test will help us to find the right course for group tuition students and the best teacher for students who booked individual tuition. It is a written test, that checks on your grammar and vocabulary knowledge, reading comprehension and capability of written expression. Additionally we might have a short interview with you on your first day at school which corresponds to an “oral test” before definitely assigning you to a course checking on your oral expression and listening comprehension. Please take the placement test within two weeks.
Arrival Information
Courses start on Mondays, you will be expected to arrive the Sunday before. It is of utmost importance that you inform us about your arrival time on Sunday. Please do not forget this! Your host family wants to welcome you appropriately, therefor they need to know when your plane lands or train/bus arrives in Vienna. Please also consider that your host family might spend the Sunday outside their home, maybe even outside the city and you certainly do not want to stand before closed doors when you've finally made it to your host family.
First Course Day
Once you've met your host family, they will hand you our welcome letter. It will hold the information when you are expected the next day and how you will find your way to the course room. Also, your host family will introduce their home rules to you and help you out by answering all your questions. On Monday - your first course day - you will attend our introductory class where you will get all the information you need for your course and your stay in Vienna. You will receive your timetable and a lot of information about Vienna.
